Sweet baby Taye. 6 months.
I was looking forward to meeting this little girl for quiet sometime and she did not disappoint! Almost a year earlier I got the call from Chalane announcing that her and Ryan were expecting. Chalane and I both endured our Pharmacy degrees together and it was during this time that Ryan entered the scene. Every weekend she was off to the ranch, or a rodeo to watch Ryan team rope! Soon they were engaged and I snapped photos for them one cold winter day on the U of S campus while hobbling around on crutches. Graduation came and we went off on our seperate ways to start our careers and our “grown-up” lives! That fall they were married and a few years later here I am watching Chalane and she makes her little baby girl burst into fits of giggles. She’s already been in the horses’ saddle with Dad, and loves a good country tune (esp when dad’s the one singing)…it won’t be long before mom and dad will be watching this little cowpoke kick up the dust at her first rodeo!

Im always amazed and the great people that the Lord brings into our lives. Brit and Ty are just that. A fun-loving couple that Malcolm and I have had the great joy of getting to know over the last couple of months. And I am lucky enough to have them as neighbours to my little casa on the lake. We had been talking about doing photos for what seems like forrrrever. And finally on a spur of the moment evening I came home and Brits says “lets go!!”. So with no plan of attack on my part we headed to the horse racing track at Desert Park and snapped a few shots! We even ran into a cowboy named Jake with a heavy southern drawl, who tipped his hat to us with a polite “how ya doin’ ma’am?”. Here is just a sample of some of the fun we had that awesome summer night : )

I know this last one is not perfect….but I love it anyways : )

Its not everyday you get to spend the afternoon with someone who is only 14 days old!! I met Brittny and Dave only a few weeks early when we met for a bump session. Only 5 days later lil’ Jasper was born. What a beautiful baby boy!! Its amazing to see how a much joy this baby has brought to Brittny and Dave’s relationship. The first time we met there was a nervous excitement, now I saw that the nervousness had melted away and instead I saw an energetic love for this little guy.
Congratulations you two. Welcome Jasper!

I have been lucky to get to know these two young ladies over the last two years. I spend most days of the week working with their fabulous mom! One fine afternoon and stole them away to snap a few photos, just for fun! These two have sharp wit just like their mom and the camera just loves them. I even got the camera turned on me at one point in the shoot!
