A loooong time ago (okay early Summer not like pre-conceived notions..) I got a sweet little email from my university pal Nadine asking me to snap a few photos over Thanksgiving weekend of her little guy Daniel and family!  Two thumbs up for planning ahead, and of course I was excited to meet her new baby.  Turns out Daniel is a baby that is all business.  Quite the serious little fella he is. It sure made us giggle watching his expressions!  We had a great time catching up over a cup of tea, playing with Daniel, and enjoying the view from her in-laws beautiful Osoyoos home. Thanks again for the great afternoon!

coming soon!

October has been such an amazing month! Pumpkin Spice Lattes, gorgeous warm fall weather, crispy leaves, bonfires on the beach, delish’ turkey dinner with great friends, colorful mountainsides and wine fest. Throw in a couple of  canoodling couples and cute bambinos to photograph and that sums up  a pretty awesome month!

Here is a itty bitty sneak peek of what you will see in the coming weeks!

Meet the McLeans! Kirsten and Len joined me a few weeks ago relaxed as could be, anticipating the arrival of there new little baby.  Coming in just 4 quick days from that shoot! Meanwhile there little guy Brody tore up the play ground, laughing, making friends, and teaching me how to tie his shoes. As he grabbed the ends of two laces and punched them randomly into the air. Too cute!  We wandered around the playground chatting about how their summer was, if they had the nursery ready and what they had been up too lately. Brody, at two years old was not one to slow down he had me chasing him all over the park to capture his sneaky little grin. Great morning of fun and a few snaps to show off! Congratulations to you both, Im looking forward to meeting your little bundle soon!

I wanted to take a quick opportunity to show off the latest creation of mine! A trendy album I designed to use as a guest book at our recent wedding!  All the gorgeous photos are thanks to the lovely lovely Jamie Delaine, and if you haven’t checked out our e-session or wedding photos you can see them HERE!

The album has a sleek design and modern look to it. The cover is acyrlic and showcases one of my favorite images from our e-session. I especially love the nice thick pages and the way the spreads lie perfectly flat when you open up the book. No picture is lost in the seem!  All images are flushmount meaning they are designed as full page spreads and then printed onto high quality paper! The album is also delivered in a simple black leather box for safe keeping. But I think I’ll leave it on the coffee table for a little while longer! The guest book worked perfectly for us and now we have an awesome photo album complete with words of love and support from our family and friends!

Bayda Family

Filed under bambinos, family, just for fun

What a busy couple of months its been!  I know the posts have been a little few and far between, but I’ve got lots of good things coming your way soon!

I’d like to share with you a mini family session that I did back in the Spring with the Bayda family. What started out as a just for fun shoot with the girls turned into a fun family session when the weather co-operated and turned out Jason had the day off too! Perfect! So we explored around town, I tried out a few different things with my equipment and had a great afternoon together! Thanks you guys for helping me out with this one and sorry for the loooong posting delay!

Have a great Monday!

A quick sneak peek from a session I did just for fun for my friend Kristy! Little guy slept right through the night yesterday and was WIDE awake for us!! Carson will be 3 weeks old tomorrow!   Kristy tells me its hard to believe its almost 3 weeks have passed already as the memories of the labour and delivery make it feel like it was only days ago! Mom, baby and family are doing great. Big brother Kyle is a huge help and lil sister Kendall could not be more thrilled to welcome the newset member of the family!

Isabella Olive

When I was home in Manitoba for a quick visit in February I was lucky to catch up with Randy his wife Shelley and their brand new baby girl Isabella Olive! This adorable little girl was only 6 weeks old at our impromptu shoot as friends watched the Canada vs. US gold medal hockey game!  We had a great time together catching up. As I write Im reminded of what a treasure great friendships are, the kind that go the distance even though  your not always there to nuture them. Randy and I have been friends for a long, long time. Over 10 years now!  Randy often participated in fun friday photoshoots during my earlier days behind the lense, but he didn’t seem to mind as long as it involved coke and dill pickle chip rewards! Ahhh to be 16 again.  Its been such  blessing to get to know these two as they have grown in their relationship! And lucky for me to count Randy and Shelley as great friends!

I’m so happy to finally post some more of the Bartsch family photos! It means I am slowly catching up with my work load before I get to kick back in enjoy the holiday season!!  A few more photos of a perfect little family on an absolutely gorgeous fall afternoon in the Okanagan.  Amy and Jason are great people that I am priviledged to call friends. You could not ask for a nicer couple to spend the afternoon with, had a great time chatting and catching up. Their dynamic  canines were ooozing with attitude and had so much energy, they really kept us on our toes (don’t you just love Boxers?). In between all the chatting and dog catching we managed to get in some photos and lucky me I got to  know their little man Jaxson just a  little bit better!
