Phew! Im getting back into the swing of things after taking a break this summer to tie the knot myself! It was a WONDERFUL day and I will blog about it for you later this week!

Im really excited to post the engagment photos for Kristen and Kyle that I shot a few weeks ago!  This couple has been incredibly patient with me over the last few weeks waiting for their images. Which I was happy to deliver to Kristen at her sister-in-law (to be)’s wedding this weekend! It was at the wedding where Kristen shared with me that the two of them were moving to Milan, Italy. The very next day!! Yes, really. Turns out Kyle plays hockey competitively and the two of them met down in the USA while going to college. He has avidly been pursuing his hockey career which is now taking them to Europe. And Kristen couldn’t be more excited, “shopping, pasta, sight seeing and wine…get me on that airplane!”  Kristen and Kyle are such a gorgeous couple, full of love and contagious energy I am looking forward to hearing all about the adventures they will have over there, including their own wedding next year!

A few snaps from Amanda and Daves  Thursday evening e-session! Got rained out twice, and had to postpone…but it was worth waiting for this perfect summer sunset in the SimilkameenValley!!  We tromped through the tall grasses and while we all made it out tick free the mosquitos sure tired to get the best of us! Luckily we showered ourselves in OFF and braved the elements!! The lovely Liza, my friend and second shooter extraordinaire joined us too and I snuck in one of her images at the end.  These two little love birds will be having a beautiful early fall wedding!

Whoa what a crazy week! Huge thank you to everyone (especially Tan and Jay) for being so patient waiting for your photos. Had some computer issues earlier this week that had me MIA for the most part!! Huge thanks to Kickstart Printing for getting me back on my feet! And now, catch 5 hours of sleep and then a flight to Winnipeg. But FIRST the photos this couple is A D O R A B L E!

Im always amazed and the great people that the Lord brings into our lives. Brit and Ty are just that. A fun-loving  couple that Malcolm and I have had the great joy of getting to know over the last couple of months.  And I am lucky enough to have them as neighbours to my little casa on the lake.  We had been talking about doing photos for what seems like forrrrever. And finally on a spur of the moment evening I came home and Brits says “lets go!!”. So with no plan of attack on my part we headed to the horse racing track at Desert Park and snapped a few shots! We even ran into a cowboy named Jake with a heavy southern drawl, who tipped his hat to us with a polite “how ya doin’  ma’am?”.  Here is just a sample of some of the fun we had that awesome summer night : )

when you get the opportunity to shoot a couple as  fabulous, unique and in love as this…you don’t pass it up!

Michelle and Mitch know how to make the most out of summertime in the Okanagan. With a jammed packed schedule they managed to squeeze in a night with me.  Another memory for them to reflect on, as soon enough the summer will come to a close and Mitch will be off to bigger places, lacing up his skates and hitting the ice. I am lucky to have met Michelle and built an incredible friendship with her while Mitch was away in NYC last hockey season.  I heard many a story about this fella and couldn’t wait for him to come home to actually meet him in person.  He is exactly as she describe and more. Massive personality to go along with his GINORMOUS stature.  Its such a beautiful thing to see a couple so much in love, who laugh with each other, sing little songs for each other, and can be themselves so naturally with each other.

this night we got to explore a turn of the century farm house together with my photog friend Liza. every room in the house revealed something unique and did not take much to become a backdrop for some of the most smokin hot pictures of the summer! thx for trusting me on this one you two…
